Please note

For the Middle East, keep in mind that the majority religion is Islam. In Jordan, Emirates and Morocco, you may choose to wear “modest dress” which translates to full-length trouser/skirt/dress. Most women in Islamic countries avoid exposing the chest area or bare shoulders, but as a tourist it is your choice. Unless you are entering a place of worship. In that case, it is required to include covering your hair with a scarf. You would be expected to remove your shoes on entering. You may wish to carry a clean pair of socks in your bag each day to wear instead, else your hotel’s complimentary slippers also work well! However, some places of worship only allow bare feet.

An agent will meet you inside the airport before the customs area to assist you with your visa and customs. We’d recommend hanging on to your boarding pass until after you’ve left the airport at your destination as it can be asked for by airport security at any time.

Payment Policy

To reserve your travel arrangements with Coulture Trips, we would require a deposit equal to 25% -50% of the overall tour cost, at the time of reservation. 25% for non guaranteed departures and 50% for confirmed guaranteed departures. When a 25% deposit has been made on a non guaranteed departure, the remaining 25% will be required when it becomes a confirmed guaranteed departure. We ask for your balance payment to be made 90 days ahead of arrival and would be in touch with you a week beforehand as a gentle reminder. Should you be reserving your tour 90 days or less ahead of arrival, we would require your full payment at the time of reservation. If your tour falls within the peak Christmas and New Year period (20 December – 05 January), we would require your full payment 100 days ahead of arrival (or in full at the time of reservation should you be booking the arrangements within 100 days of arrival).

Cancellation Policy

At any time, in the event you cancel your trip, or start your trip and cannot continue it, we will always retain your initial deposit of 25% (or its equivalent if paying in full) of the total booking price as liquidated damages and that amount is considered fully earned by Coulture Trips for our booking efforts and is not refundable. Other than the initial deposit, which we will retain as a fee for our services, our goal is to attempt to return as much of your pre-paid monies back to you as we can. We will:

  1. Cancel all future travel plans from the date of receipt of notice of cancellation by ourselves and return to you any monies we were not obligated to pay on your behalf for your travel bookings.
  2. Make a reasonable effort, as determined by ourselves, with no guarantee of success, to ask any vendors (including but not limited to, hotels/car rental companies/drivers/guides) to refund to us any monies paid for travel bookings on your behalf. Please understand that different providers have varied and different cancellation policies ranging from a strict no refund policy to a much more liberal policy of a potential few days in certain cases for guides and drivers.
  3. Refund any remaining funds on deposit and/or funds recovered from travel providers back to you within 45 days of receiving such funds ourselves. Any refunds will be less any reasonable administrative costs incurred by ourselves such as, but not limited to, credit card processing fees.

With the above commitment from ourselves to yourself notwithstanding, the minimum amounts you will receive back will be:

  • If you were to cancel 59 – 31 days prior to arrival, we would retain 50% of the amount paid by you in connection with the booking*.
  • If you were to cancel 30 days or less prior to arrival, we would retain 100% of the amount paid by you in connection with the booking.

*For tours reserved during the peak Christmas and New Year period (20 December – 05 January), our cancellation policy differs. Should your tour fall during these dates, in the event of cancellation at any time prior to arrival we would retain 100% of the amount paid by you in connection with the booking.

COVID-19

The emergence of the Covid-19 virus and surrounding press coverage has understandably generated questions and concerns around planning travel when the virus is still spreading and official government travel advice continues to change. As a highly personalised and service-driven company, Coulture Trips is keen to support all our guests in helping you to make the best possible decisions around your travel plans. Every guest’s situation is different, and so we always make recommendations on a case-by-case basis, but the below gives some general guidelines of how we are managing the COVID-19 situation.

As always, our primary priority is the health, wellbeing and happiness of our guests and staff, and we will continue to take any action necessary to support those travelling with us as fully as possible.

What happens if the government(s) does not advise against travel to Jordan?

In this situation, we continue to operate our tours as planned. If you are due to be travelling with us and decide you no longer wish to visit, then you have two options:

  • postpone your trip: you can speak to us to see whether it would be possible to postpone your holiday to a later date. In this situation, depending on the cost of the new arrangements, you may be required to pay additional fees (or be due a refund of the difference), which we will explain.
  • cancellation: you can cancel your trip per our standard terms and conditions. Cancellation charges are likely to apply. If this is your preferred option, we suggest you contact your insurance company as soon as possible to see whether any of these costs are recoverable.

What happens if the government(s) advises against travel to Jordan?

In this instance, our approach changes and we will follow our well-established internal processes. If you are not due to travel for a few weeks or more, we will keep you fully informed of the developments and ensure you are aware of key dates which may be relevant to decisions about your trip. If your reservation cancelled by Coulture Trips due to the current COVID-19 situation, or in the event that there is a total restriction on entry to your destination country (and this restriction is still applicable 48 hours before your trip), will be issued a “Coulture Trips credit” for the full amount of moneys paid. Credits can be applied towards any upcoming Coulture Trips tours. Coulture Trips credits and Coulture Trips Currency never expire.

  • postpone your trip: We will transfer your deposit, and any other monies paid, in full, to your new arrangements. However, should there be any difference in cost you may be required to pay additional fees or be due a refund of the difference.

What happens if the Jordanian government suspends my visa?

We will offer you the choice to

  • postpone your trip: We will transfer your deposit, and any other monies paid, in full, to your new arrangements. However, should there be any difference in cost you may be required to pay additional fees or be due a refund of the difference.
  • cancel your trip: We will refund 80% of the cost of your trip. The remaining 20% is deemed fully earned by Coulture Trips for our booking efforts and is not refundable.

I am booked to travel with you in 8+ weeks. What do you advise?

The circumstances around Covid-19 are evolving on an hourly basis; at this point, our recommendation would be to continue to monitor the situation in the hopeful expectation that Jordan will be safe for travel at that stage; if however, you would like to consider pre-emptively postponing your trip we would be happy to review the possibilities with you.

I am keen to book a tour with you, but what if the situation escalates further?

We are constantly monitoring changes in travel advice. Should this advice change in the lead-up to your trip we will communicate this to you immediately and at that time can discuss the right course of action, as detailed above.
